The free version provides many basic features to create amazing pieces of art, but those who wish for more will need to pay $1.99 to upgrade to the pro mode. Additionally, users can view their sketches as thumbnails and swipe down to send canvases to the trash. When zoomed all the way out, artists can browse all their sketches or swipe up to share their creations by dragging and dropping stamps to send the sketch to various destinations like Facebook, Twitter, or Email. For instance, a two finger swipe to the left or right will undo or redo, pinching the screen helps users browse the canvas while pinching out zooms in closer, a two-finger hold allows them to swipe and move the canvas, and swiping to the left with three fingers clears the canvas. Tayasui Sketches utilizes gestures to help users navigate the app with ease. The drawing tools can be hidden from the screen at any time. What's great is that there aren’t any menus that get in the way or any clutter whatsoever. There are nine tools for users to create masterpieces along with an eraser and a color selector. A blank canvas is presented on the screen, and an array of drawing tools sits to the side. Once opened, users will notice the clean and sharp design. At first it looks similar to Paper, but its simplicity, well-designed interface, and wide range of drawing tools help to set it apart. It’s a terrific all around easy to use app for creative people and I’m so thankful they keep updating it to make it even better.Tayasui Sketches is a drawing app developed for the iPad. No issues at all with bugs or crashing on any of them and I use it fairly often. I am using this app on a iPhone 13 Pro Max, a 2020 iPad Pro 12.9” and an older iPad Pro 9.7”. There isn’t another one like it and I use it frequently. The pen tool is one of my favorites, it is akin to an ape tel brush pen with pressure sensitivity. This is a robust art app but you have to take some time to play with all the brushes and textures, and I like the fact you can modify every color by press and hold the color. The new pastel crayon is pretty neat and mimics an actual pastel stick. I just spent a couple of hours playing with each and every brush and it’s variations as I haven’t done that for awhile. I particularly enjoy the watercolor brushes and the ability to add water to the color to soften and blend. Through the various iterations they’ve added layers and canvas sizes and myriad other upgrades. I use Procreate a lot but I enjoy the ease of use with Sketches and the brushes have some really nice effects. I’ve used this app since it came out in the AppStore and then the devs made a Pro version, not sure why but I’m not complaining. Rulers: straight, arc, circle and spline A unique UI with a touch of Zen: A gorgeous UI that hides as you create to make for a very clean canvas. It's an effect you have to see to believe. A Unique feeling: Each stroke behaves vividly and truly like a brush on paper, adapting the pressure, angle, and width to your movements.
